How do we organise ourselves?<\/span><\/div>[vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_column_text]\n

The Network<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Membership will need to be fluid, recognising the breadth of issues and interests: it\u2019s a system and not a singular \u2018sector\u2019. The network is to be apolitical; with membership being drawn primarily from professionals within key stakeholder organisations (with nominated representatives) and\/or independent specialists, or experienced place-based leaders where appropriate. As such, \u2018members\u2019 will respect each other\u2019s professional boundaries.<\/p>\n

Network members together will offer a combination of evidence and insight, policy direction, funding, advice or extensive experience in leadership of place-based approaches, physical inactivity and\/or tackling health inequalities.<\/p>\n

It is therefore recognised, that the range of organisation and partners is significant: with many \u2018sectors\u2019 all playing a role in tackling physical inactivity.<\/p>\n

There will need to be a sense of \u2018proportionality\u2019 on how members of the network engage, and a communications approach which keeps everyone involved, at the level they wish to engage.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text text_align=”center”]\n

A Leadership Group<\/h3>\n

It is also agreed that there will need to be a core \u2018leadership\u2019 group that will harness the network\u2019s energy, into a programme of work and governance system, seeking coherence across the network, this is currently evolving.<\/p>\n

The diagram below seeks to illustrate the model \u2018loosely\u2019, remembering that ultimately people and place-based systems are at the heart of what we\u2019re trying to change \u2013 which essentially surrounds this model in itself! There should always be a feedback loop or a chance to \u2018check and challenge\u2019 to ensure the work reflects diversity of local place, communities and people.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”]
