CLOA members are invited to a focused roundtable exploring the implications, opportunities and practicalities of the emerging Visitor Levy. The event is in partnership with LGA and Core Cities UK.

Chaired by Rob Campbell (CLOA Executive Member and Managing Director Culture and Heritage Services, Bath & North East Somerset Council), who led CLOA’s response to the government consultation, the session brings together expert insights from Edinburgh and Manchester—two places at the forefront of levy implementation.

Elin Williamson and Katherine Kennedy will share Edinburgh’s experience, including governance, operational learning and early impacts. Nick Brooks-Sykes will offer a complementary perspective from Marketing Manchester, where the Accommodation BID provides a live model of visitor economy investment and partnership working.

This session is designed to help senior leaders understand what the levy could mean for their local area, how to prepare, and where the opportunities lie for culture, leisure and tourism services.
