The faster pace of economic, societal and environmental change requires an evolution of how our education system and equips young people with the skills, confidence and resilience to shape their own path through life.

At this members meeting guest speaker Sam Cairns, Co-Director, Cultural Learning Alliance gave a presentation on Cultural Learning:  Evidence, Landscape & Opportunities which covered why arts education matters and what the risks and opportunities are for cultural learning in England’s schools.

Nicky Morgan, Director Special Projects from Arts Council England gave a presentation that summarised the recommendations from the independent Durham Commission on Creativity and Education.

Our hosts Coventry City Council highlighted the impact of having been European City of Sport 2019 and the development of the new Wave facility.
