Speakers Notes
- Andrew Honeyman (Head of Sport at DCMS) gave a progress update on
Sporting Future: A New Strategy for an Active Nation and lead a discussion on the positive role local authorities can play in delivering better outcomes locally.
- Lady Tanni-Grey Thompson (Chair ukactive) gave an address on the vital contribution of sport and physical activity to the health of the nation and shared her ideas regarding community wellness hubs.
- Nancy Hey (Director, What works centre for wellbeing)
outlined the research that the centre has been undertaking into what works for wellbeing in culture and sport and provided delegates with examples of best practice in terms of impact.
- David Harris Xn Lesiure profiled a range of data collection systems and solutions including
Datahub, Referall and Xn Insight.
- Kathy Settle (Chief Executive of the Libraries Taskforce) gave a
presentation that focused in on the challenge of reconciling the asset base with community requirement through innovation.
